About Us

Established in 1962, the Castlemaine District Netball Association is the premier domestic netball competition in Castlemaine, providing inclusive and competitive opportunities for junior, mixed and open grade players at our Wesley Hill courts.

Beyond weekly competition, the Association is strongly committed to player development. We support junior pathways through Net Set Go programs, development training, tournament initiatives, and representative squad opportunities, helping young netballers build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of the game.

The Association is a nursery for netball talent in the area, with a strong history of high achieving players progressing to regional and state competition representation.

Our Committee

The Castlemaine District Netball Association is proudly led by a dedicated volunteer committee who work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth operation and continued growth of the association.

The committee is responsible for overseeing competitions, player development pathways, officiating, governance, and the overall strategic direction of netball in the district. Members bring a range of skills and experience and share a strong commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.

With a focus on participation, development, and community connection, the committee works closely with players, coaches, umpires, families, and volunteers to support netball opportunities at all levels — from beginner programs through to representative pathways.

The ongoing success of the association is made possible through the time, effort, and passion of our committee and volunteers, whose contribution helps ensure netball continues to thrive in Castlemaine and the surrounding region.

Without our wonderful volunteers our players and umpires don't have a place to call home.

Are you someone with great ideas? A passion for sport and its future? Wanting to help make a change? Or someone who wants to help preserve the association way of netball? Do you have knowledge you would like to pass on? Are you wanting to learn more about the behind the scenes? Or maybe you're just someone who wants to meet a great new group of people and hang out every second Monday of the month?
